Latvian pharmaceutical manufacturer AS “Olpha” has launched its fourth generic cardiology product within two years.

A multidisciplinary conference, “Veselības laboratorija” (“Health Laboratory”), organised by “Centrālā laboratorija”, brought together more than 300 physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals from across Latvia.

Zane Kaktiņa, an experienced executive and the current chair of the board of Centrālā laboratorija, has been appointed chair of the board of Veselības centru apvienība and its subsidiaries, effective March 31 of this year.

A special award from the Latvian Medical association for contributions to the education of young physicians was presented to Anita Kamenščikova, head of the health clinic “Aura,” head of cardiology and vaccination fields, and head of the residency programme at Veselības centru apvienība (VCA).

"Centrālā laboratorija" has received the Latvian Medical association “Medical award of the year 2025” in the category “Medical event of the year 2025” for establishing in Riga the most advanced automated laboratory in the Baltics.

As part of its commitment to developing efficient, safe, and customer-oriented pharmaceutical care services, self-service checkouts have been introduced in five "Mēness aptieka" pharmacies.
